Data Science & Society

An introduction to exploratory data analysis (EDA) with R and the tidyverse, set against the backdrop of examining economic and social justice issues in the United States. For many Davidson students, this course is their gateway into the Data Science major or minor. Using RStudio in JupyterHub, we use public data sources to teach fundamental R programming, data visualization, and statistics while examining topics related to racial equity and economic mobility.
